Ah... the beaches of Oahu!

The opening scene from Gilligan' Island is the Ala Wai Boat Harbor in our lovely Ala Moana State Park. This is a beautiful, pristine Honolulu beach and a great location to watch the Hawaiian sunset. Make sure you walk all the way out to the end of Magic Island because there is a great view of Waikiki, Diamond Head, and Ala Wai Boat Harbor.

There is an absolutely breathtaking photo of the sunset from "macpro" at the Hawai Metrobloging website. You really should pay them a visit!
