Kamehameha Campuses Unite for Rose Bowl Parade Performance

Hula dancers and Hawaiian music filled the streets of Pasadena, California yesterday at the Tournament of Roses Parade as hundreds of students from all three Kamehameha schools performed in front of hundreds of millions of television viewers.

Yesterday's memorable event was the first time that marching band members from the Kamehameha Maui and Kamehameha Big Island campuses joined their Kamehameha Oahu peers.

"It was fabulous weather, really sunny and fairly warm, so that was a blessing," said John Riggle, band director for Kamehameha's Oahu campus. He went on to say that "everything went on time, flawlessly, and the neighbor island kids who were in there for the first time did a great job."

The audience particularly loved the hula ensemble!
