Aloha Grandma - Welcome Home

Young girls hulaOkay, so here's the latest on grandma...

She has finally decided to leave the mountain and move in with us here in Honolulu under one condition. We'll need to put an addition on our home so that she'll have her own little kitchen, bathroom, and private entrance - kinda' like her own little attached apartment. I'm so HAPPY! She did look at some houses in her price range here, even saw a home she really liked but was afraid that it would need too much work done. So she surrendered to the cause and agreed to live here with us if she had permission to make the changes.

My dad's pretty handy but with me still in school and him still at work, he decided that paying somebody qualified to do the addition would be best. So we stopped searching for San Antonio contractors (thank God) and started searching for Honolulu contractors instead. We're gonna' go with a Clicksmart Certified Expert because they meet all the state and local requirements (grandma worries about outlaw contractors - haha). Clicksmart does the pre-screening so we'll get a legitimate, qualified crew to do the job.

I'm excited about having Thanksgiving here with grandma...

and Christmas...

and birthdays...

I'm just so happy that she's finally coming!!!

Aloha ~

Ali
