You can snow ski in Hawaii??Really?
When you think of snow skiing, Hawaii is probably not the first destination that pops into your head. If tropical snow skiing is your dream though, then Hawaii is the right place. People snowboard and snow ski on the Big Island at Mauna Kea (Hawaiian for white mountain), and many Hawaiians make it a weekly avocation. There are no ski lifts to take you up the 13,500 mountain, so you just rent a 4WD vehicle or hire a guide. Skiers take turns being the driver up a road that also serves several observatories at the summit.

Wow! I never knew you could ski in Hawaii and I wonder how many people actually know that. Do you know how often they get snow here, and how is the powder?!
