Beaches and sunshine - yes, but that's just one of the many facets of Hawaii. The Aloha State has been associated with celebrity glitz and glamor for decades and continues to this day.

Take Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, for instance. Dark, lean and lovely, Nicole was born in Hawaii and is actually considered kānaka (native Hawaiian). Born in Honolulu to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother, Nicole even sports a Hawaiian middle name - "Elikolani," which can be translated to mean "heavenly child."
