Road Trips, Roller Coasters, and Hawaii U!

I just took a quick jaunt across the Pacific with three of my cheerleader buds - Malena, Aki, and Lucy (I told 'em I'd name 'em in this post - hehe). We though we deserved one last fling before starting Fall classes at Hawaii University so we got a little spontaneous and just went for it!. We planned on going to Disney's California Adventure but decided at the last minute to try Knotts Berry Farms instead. OMG, we had the best time - crazy girl time and I'm surprised they let us stay because we were acting so goofy.

We rode the Silver Bullet as soon as we entered the park and Malena got sick. The rest of us thought the ride was amazing. It's definitely not the highest or fastest inverted coaster, but it is so super-smooth, exhilarating, and FUN FUN FUN.  I ended up riding it four times throughout the day and could have ridden it several more. The final helix over the water ROCKS! It's the clear highlight of the ride and the perfect finish to make you wanna jump right back on for another go! I loved the part where it passed above the pond, but I didn't like the location of the ride. It's right in front of the main entrance and I thought it was kinda' poorly placed - maybe it would be better in the Ghost Town area? Besides the Silver Bullet roller coaster, we also rode GhostRider, the Perilous Plunge, Supreme Scream, and Xcelerator - great rides and the waits were short.

Now the crazy part... we went to Camp Snoopy and acted like little kids. I love my buds, and we were complete lunatics there!!! There's this ride called the Huff n Puff which is strictly for the little kids. You kinda' just sit down and then use your arms to pump a tiny mining car around the track.Well, they weren't busy so we flirted our way onto the ride with Joe, the "ride guy" and we got real stupid on the track. Oh gosh, we probably were not very good role models but it was fun to act like a toddler again.

BTW, we got our Knotts Berry Farm tickets from Trusted Tours and Attractions - good deal, god service, quick and easy too! If you're planning on hitting Knotts Berry Farms or just taking in Los Angeles tours, you should check out the
online travel guides at Trusted Tours and sign up for their eNewsletter. Don't forget to enter their contest to win a $150 Magellan’s Gift Certificate. I think the offer ends August 31st, 2008 so hurry!!
